Our IRB approved protocol allows for various collections including, nasopharyngeal swabs, mid-turbinate nasal swabs, anterior nasal swabs, oropharyngeal swabs, oral fluid, vaginal swabs, rectal swabs, urine samples, stool samples, venous blood samples, and peripheral blood samples.
If you place a pre-order, we can customize the storage media utilized to your needs. Common medias we utilize are BD Universal Transport Media (UTM), BD Universal Viral Transport (UVT), Copan Universal Transport Media (UTM), and Aptima Specimen Transport Medium (STM). Swabs may also be collected and stored in various Puritan Dry Transport Tubes.
Samples are stored at -70 degrees Celsius from the time of collection until the time of shipment. All samples shipped are shipped with dry ice and include a TempTale for accurate temperature monitoring while in route.
We routinely collect samples for common indications such as COVID-19, Influenza A & B, RSV, Pneumonia, and STIs including Gonorrhea and Chlamydia.
Source data including demographic information, medical history, standard of care results, collection, and shipment times/dates are all documented at the time of collection and will be provided to the sample purchaser. Temperature logs from collection date to shipping date will also be provided along with any relevant shipping documentation including TempTale reports.
